A shoe shop sells shoes. No one actually says shoes shop. Even though I've never seen a shoe shop sell an individual shoe, that's just how it is.
shoe shop卖鞋。实际上没人说shoes shop。只管鞋店从来不卖一只鞋，但事实上便是这么说的。
It seems to be normal to singularise the commodity - e.g. a hat shop, The Sock Shop, The Tie Rack, etc.
将商品单数化利用彷佛是很平凡的——像是帽子店hat shop, 袜子店Sock Shop, 领带架Tie Rack等等。
还有一些分外的，
比如说
clothes shop
服装店
由于clothes并不是可数名词
也并不能用cloth来表示
cloth是布，并不是服装
electronics store
电子商店
(卖电子产品的)
如果去掉s，
electronic便是形容词“电子的”
就变成了这家商店是一家电子的商店
Otherwise, when a noun is used as an adjective, the normal usage is to have the singular form of the noun.
否则，当名词用作形容词时，常日的用法是名词的单数形式。
Since "shoe" is modifying "shop", it is acting as an adjective, and thus the singular would be standard. Similarly, "toothbrush", not "teethbrush", etc.
shoe是用来润色shop，它便是起到形容词的浸染，因此就该当利用单数。类似的，你也该当用"toothbrush", 而不是 "teethbrush"。
